CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. (AP) _ American Public Education Inc. (APEI) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $5.7 million.
The Charles Town, West Virginia-based company said it had net income of 37 cents per share.
The for-profit education company posted revenue of $74.4 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $10 million, or 62 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $286.3 million.
American Public Education shares have declined 23% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $21.18, a decrease of 35% in the last 12 months.
