AMN Healthcare: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

DALLAS (AP) _ AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (AMN) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $9.3 million.

The Dallas-based company said it had net income of 19 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 89 cents per share.

The health care staffing company posted revenue of $631.3 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $625.6 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $70.7 million, or $1.48 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.39 billion.

For the current quarter ending in April, AMN Healthcare said it expects revenue in the range of $800 million to $820 million.

AMN Healthcare shares have increased roughly 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $75, a drop of almost 1% in the last 12 months.
