EMERYVILLE, Calif. (AP) _ Amyris Inc. (AMRS) on Thursday reported a loss of $38.8 million in its fourth quarter.
The Emeryville, California-based company said it had a loss of 14 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and to extinguish debt, came to 9 cents per share.
The renewable chemicals and fuels company posted revenue of $32.2 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $87.3 million, or 40 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $77.2 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit 53 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $1.52.
