Earnings, Revenue Blow Past Consensus

Analogic earned $1.32 a share in its fourth quarter, crushing the $0.71 consensus estimate. Revenue of $151 million also blew past the $140 million the Street was looking for. ALOG surges 12 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Werner Squeezed by Cost Pressures

Werner Enterprises forecast third-quarter earnings of $0.33 to $0.36 a share, below the $0.44 expected by analysts. Management blamed higher costs for trucks and fuel, plus compensation. WERN drops 13 percent in early trading.

Tessera Issues Strong Revenue Guidance

Tessera Technologies said revenue in the current quarter will be $66.50 million to $69 million. Analysts had only expected $60 million, and TSRA is up 4 percent in the premarket.
