Celebrations may be in order for Life360, Inc. (ASX:360) shareholders, with the analysts delivering a significant upgrade to their statutory estimates for the company. The revenue forecast for this year has experienced a facelift, with analysts now much more optimistic on its sales pipeline.

Following the upgrade, the latest consensus from Life360's three analysts is for revenues of US$107m in 2021, which would reflect a major 33% improvement in sales compared to the last 12 months. Before the latest update, the analysts were foreseeing US$96m of revenue in 2021. The consensus has definitely become more optimistic, showing a nice increase in revenue forecasts.

One way to get more context on these forecasts is to look at how they compare to both past performance, and how other companies in the same industry are performing. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Life360's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2021 expected to display 33% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 45% over the past three years. Juxtapose this against the other companies in the industry with analyst coverage, which are forecast to grow their revenues (in aggregate) 16% per year. So it's pretty clear that, while Life360's revenue growth is expected to slow, it's still expected to grow faster than the industry itself.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away from this upgrade is that analysts lifted their revenue estimates for this year. Analysts also expect revenues to grow faster than the wider market. Given that analysts appear to be expecting substantial improvement in the sales pipeline, now could be the right time to take another look at Life360.

It's great to see the analysts upgrading their estimates, but the biggest highlight to us is that the business is expected to become profitable in the foreseeable future. You can learn more about these forecasts, for free on our platform here.
