MAUMEE, Ohio (AP) _ The Andersons Inc. (ANDE) on Monday reported a loss of $14 million in its first quarter.

The Maumee, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and non-recurring costs, were 16 cents per share.

The agriculture company posted revenue of $2.08 billion in the period.

Andersons shares have risen almost 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $32.86, a decline of nearly 1% in the last 12 months.
