Angelica Hale's angelic voice earns her a second Golden Buzzer on 'AGT'

Eleven-year-old Angelica Hale proved that she’s still got a lot of fight left in her when she sang Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. She not only blew away many fans and judges but also made a little history.

Hale was the runner-up in Season 12. Guest judge Chris Hardwick gave her a Golden Buzzer that season, sending her straight to the finals. Though she ultimately lost to ventriloquist Darci Lynne, many fans still support her.

Most of the judges approved of Hale’s performance this season, Mel B thought it could have been better. “I thought you would have taken this song and put your own Angelica twist on it because you have the tools to do that,” she said. The comment was met by boos from the audience and other judges.

It didn’t end up mattering what anyone thought, as Howie Mandel used his Golden Buzzer to advance Hale directly to the finals. “That was your fight song,” he said. “And if I can do anything, I’m gonna help you win this fight.” Thus, Hale became the first act ever to receive two Golden Buzzers.

America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
