When two people who are young and inexperienced come together, there is a tendency that they do not think things through before making decisions. This is why so many celebrities today have had to go through a painful divorce from the one person they thought they would spend their lives with. A good example of a star that had to split from the man she loved and grew with, was Angelina Jolie. The American actress and humanitarian was born on June 4, 1975, to Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand.
Jolie, formerly known as Angelina Joie Pitt started her career in acting at a young age and progressed from then. Taking on big and difficult roles was a piece of cake for Jolie as acting came naturally to her. When it comes to relationships, Jolie has had her fair share of men in and out of the industry, but the most notable relationship of all was with co-actor, Brad Pitt. The duo were rumored to be having an affair while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, and this put her in the public's eye.
Jolie was acquainted with Pitt on set for a film titled "Mr and Mrs Smith" and according to her, she was already in love with him, but did not act on her feelings. The public was still in the dark about the duo's relationship until a year later, when Jolie announced that she was having Pitt's baby. Their relationship lasted for over twelve years, including two years of marriage, and during this time, they were known as Hollywood's most glamorous couple. From going to different red carpets together to having a large family, Jolie and Pitt were the couple goals of different years.
In September 2016, the world was shocked to hear that the fantastic five-star couple had gotten a divorce and this raised questions and confusion among fans. Today, Jolie and Pitt share six beautiful children, including three adopted children. After their divorce, Jolie and Pitt went back and forth and fought most of the time when it came to co-parenting and this was the beginning of a child custody battle between the couple. During their divorce proceedings, the "Maleficent" actress requested that she be granted full custody of the children, but Pitt did not agree to this.
Three years later, Us Weekly revealed that the actress is still angry at her ex-husband, Pitt. She reportedly revealed that her ex-husband should be dealt with for usurping her life and that of her children. The actress also revealed in an interview that her marriage to Pitt made her miss out on the opportunity to live abroad. She also mentioned that her ex-husband pressurized her into marriage and she has no idea if she would ever get married again. However, she is making plans to move to Africa with her children, although there is no fixed period yet. Will the ex-couple come to a resolution soon? or not? Who Knows!
