DENVER (AP) _ ANGI Homeservices Inc. (ANGI) on Wednesday reported a first-quarter loss of $9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.
The provider of a digital marketplace for home services posted revenue of $343.7 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $341.8 million.
ANGI Homeservices shares have declined 11% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $7.52, a decrease of 59% in the last 12 months.
