Another EPA Contract for Tetra Tech
Leading technical services provider Tetra Tech, Inc. (TTEK) received a contract to provide technical support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (:EPA) regional Superfund Program. The five-year contract is valued at $48 million.
Per the EPA Region 5 Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (:START) contract, Tetra Tech will provide advisory and assistance services across six states — Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. The company will be in charge of data management, emergency response support, emergency preparedness and prevention activities, removal actions, Superfund and brownfields site assessments and training.
In July, Tetra Tech received a contract to provide technical support to the U.S. EPA’s Regional Superfund Program. The five-year contract, valued at $50 million, encompasses five states and nine tribal nations. The scope of the contract primarily involved providing technical support services such as emergency preparedness and response, assessment and inspection, and data management.
Tetra Tech is a leading player in providing services like consulting, engineering and program management. The company also supports the government and commercial clients by offering solutions in environmental services, water, energy, infrastructure and natural resources.
In the third quarter of fiscal 2013, the company reported a loss of 47 cents per share, wider than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of 41 cents per share. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal 2013 has dropped 25.3% in the last 60 days to 68 cents per share. For fiscal 2014, the Zacks Consensus Estimate declined 8.7% during the same period to $1.67 per share.
Tetra Tech currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell). However, other companies in the same industry that are worth considering include Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd.
