Anquan Boldin wants to come out of retirement and play again
Anquan Boldin might have to give back some retirement gifts.
Boldin, who turned 37 on Oct. 3, wants back into the NFL after retiring this preseason. That should be great news for the Buffalo Bills, who signed Boldin this offseason and could use another receiver. However, Boldin doesn’t want to play for the Bills, and the team has allowed his agent to shop him for a trade according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Funny enough, the news broke a few hours after Boldin tweeted out a Time magazine article that explained why he quit football for activism.

Boldin could be an interesting addition for some team. It’s fair to question what he has left at 37 after a couple months of retirement, but he did catch eight touchdowns for the Detroit Lions last season. Boldin is tough, productive and universally regarded as a great leader in the locker room. It’s not often a guy with 13,779 career yards can be acquired in late October.
We’ll see if any team is willing to give up a low pick to the Bills for Boldin. If so, one of the NFL’s best receivers of this generation could add to that career yardage total.
