Apogee Enterprises: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Apogee Enterprises Inc. (APOG) on Thursday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $12.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Minneapolis-based company said it had a loss of 45 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 85 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 91 cents per share.

The glass products company posted revenue of $346.3 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $357.2 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $45.7 million, or $1.63 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.4 billion.

Apogee Enterprises expects full-year earnings in the range of $3 to $3.20 per share.

Apogee Enterprises shares have risen 30 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen roughly 9 percent in the last 12 months.
