'Solo' Will Reveal How Han and Chewie Met
Perhaps the most unlikely couple in movie history: a giant growling dog-man and a handsome space smuggler. And though they might be a strange match, Chewbacca and Han Solo are an iconic Hollywood duo. But even 40 years later, we still don't know how these two met.
On May 25, however, we'll finally have an answer. The upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story reveals how Chewbacca and Han became the most badass team in the galaxy.
Disney has revealed the plot synopsis of Solo, which details how young Han met Chewie and Lando Calrissian:
“Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga's most unlikely heroes.”
This is the most detail we've gotten so far about the upcoming film directed by Ron Howard. Other fans have theorised that the young Han Solo movie might show how he and the Millennium Falcon "made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs." But what I really want to know is how Solo knows how to speak Wookiee.
