Appeals court overturns ruling that said Epic didn't infringe McKesson patent

A U.S. appeals court ruled that in McKesson's (MCK) case, Epic can be potentially be held liable for inducing infringement, overturning a lower court's decision. The court said, "McKesson preserved its claim of induced infringement, even though this court’s decisions in BMC and Muniauction made the inducement claim difficult to maintain." The appeals court ruled McKesson is entitled to litigate that issue on remand to the district court. The ruling also related to case of infringement claims against Limelight Networks (LLNW) by Akamai (AKAM).
