PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Aramark Holdings Corp. (ARMK) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $250.7 million.
The Philadelphia-based company said it had net income of 99 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 63 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.
The provider of food, facilities and uniform services posted revenue of $4.27 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.2 billion.
Aramark expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.30 to $2.40 per share.
Aramark shares have increased 17 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 25 percent in the last 12 months.
