HOUSTON (AP) _ Aravive, Inc. (ARAV) on Thursday reported a loss of $6.1 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 54 cents.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 50 cents per share.
Aravive shares have increased 85% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $6.52, climbing slightly in the last 12 months.
