LUXEMBOURG (AP) _ Ardagh Group SA (ARD) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $144 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The company said it had a loss of 61 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 33 cents per share.
The packaging company posted revenue of $2.14 billion in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.09 billion.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $94 million, or 40 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $9.1 billion.
Ardagh Group expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.60 to $1.75 per share.
Ardagh Group shares have increased 17 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 29 percent in the last 12 months.
