HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) _ Ardmore Shipping Corp. (ASC) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $1.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for a loss of 6 cents per share.
The shipping company posted revenue of $49.9 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $31.7 million, beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $31.2 million.
Ardmore Shipping shares have increased slightly more than 7 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 14 percent in the last 12 months.
