Ares European CLO XII DAC -- Moody's: No adverse rating impact on the notes issued by Ares European CLO XII DAC following amendment

Announcement: Moody's: No adverse rating impact on the notes issued by Ares European CLO XII DAC following amendmentGlobal Credit Research - 04 Mar 2021Frankfurt am Main, March 04, 2021 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") announced today that the proposed amendment to the definition of Adjusted Weighted Average Moody's Rating Factor as defined in the Collateral Management and Administration Agreement (the "CMAA") would not, in and of itself and as of this time, result in a reduction, placement on review for possible downgrade or withdrawal of Moody's current ratings assigned to the notes issued by Ares European CLO XII DAC.The proposed amendment is to align the CMAA to the recent updates in "Moody's Global Approach to Rating Collateralized Loan Obligations" methodology which primarily relate to the analytical treatment of corporate obligors with a negative outlook or whose ratings are on review for upgrade or downgrade. The principal methodology used in reaching its conclusion and in monitoring the ratings of the notes issued by the Issuers is "Moody's Global Approach to Rating Collateralized Loan Obligations" published in December 2020. Please see the Rating Methodologies page on www.moodys.com for a copy of this methodology.Moody's opinion addresses only the credit impact associated with the proposed amendment, and Moody's is not expressing any opinion as to whether the proposed amendment has, or could have, other non-credit related effects that may have a detrimental impact on the interests of holders of rated obligations and/or counterparties. This publication does not announce a credit rating action. For any credit ratings referenced in this publication, please see the ratings tab on the issuer/entity page on www.moodys.com for the most updated credit rating action information and rating history.
