ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) _ Argan Inc. (AGX) on Wednesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $2.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Rockville, Maryland-based company said it had a loss of 14 cents. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 4 cents per share.
The builder of energy plants posted revenue of $87.7 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $52 million, or $3.32 per share. Revenue was reported as $482.2 million.
Argan shares have risen 34 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $50.54, a rise of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
