The 2020 presidential candidates are on the campaign trail and trying to gain endorsements along the way. Last weekend, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande were all in attendance at an event for presidential candidate Kamala Harris, but kept a low profile, according to ELLE.

The star-studded meeting was supposedly a more casual “fireside chat” among friends at music executive Scooter Braun’s Los Angeles mansion. Scooter’s wife, Yael, invited guests to listen to Harris’s plans and directions for the country if elected. According to sources, more than 100 people, including the three pop stars, attended the discussion.

None of the pop stars posted any photos from the evening, though a leaked photo showed Katy, Demi, and Ariana posing with the presidential candidate. For many, the photo reiterates that the three singers support Scooter Braun, whom all three defended in the wake of the music exec’s ongoing public rift with Taylor Swift over ownership of Taylor’s masters.

Swift stans were quick to call out the event, asking Harris not to fundraise with Scooter because of the Taylor drama, suggesting votes could be lost to another candidate because of it.

Regardless, Harris is currently leading in the Democratic polls in California, her home state, and based on past elections, the support of the state of California and a top-notch roster of celebrity advocates has helped assure a head start on votes.
