Artis Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Passing of a Trustee

WINNIPEG , March 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Artis Real Estate Investment Trust (AX-UN.TO) ("Artis" or the "REIT") announces the passing of Mr. Delmore C.W. Crewson , FCA, a trustee who served on Artis' board of trustees since 2006.

Armin Martens , Chief Executive Officer of Artis, stated:

Del served on Artis' Board as an independent Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee since 2006. He was a person of integrity, good conscience and character, key attributes for his role as Audit Committee Chair.  Del was a friend, and a dedicated and diligent trustee. As a permanent memorial to Mr. Crewson and an expression of gratitude for his contribution to Artis, Artis has renamed the conference centre at 360 Main Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba , the "Delmore Crewson Conference Centre".
