NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) _ Aspen Aerogels Inc. (ASPN) on Thursday reported a loss of $6 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Northborough, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 25 cents.

The maker of insulation products posted revenue of $27.9 million in the period.

Aspen Aerogels expects a full-year loss of 61 cents to 53 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $126 million to $134 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $4.36. A year ago, they were trading at $4.47.
