HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) _ Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. (AHL) on Wednesday reported a loss of $146.8 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said it had a loss of $2.60. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $2.23 per share.
The insurance and reinsurance company posted revenue of $593.5 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $145.8 million, or $2.97 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.41 billion.
Aspen Insurance shares have stayed flat since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $41.99, a rise of 15 percent in the last 12 months.
