MASON, Ohio (AP) _ AtriCure Inc. (ATRC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $4.1 million in its second quarter.
The Mason, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 17 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 18 cents per share.
The medical device maker posted revenue of $58.9 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $57.6 million.
AtriCure expects full-year revenue in the range of $224 million to $228 million.
AtriCure shares have climbed 5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $32.20, a climb of 17% in the last 12 months.
