Attain Announces Paid Parental Leave

MCLEAN, Va., March 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Attain, LLC, a leading management, technology and strategy consulting firm, has announced a paid parental leave policy to support mothers and fathers, and their growing families, as part of its comprehensive benefits package.

Attain's new policy offers up to four weeks of paid leave to birth mothers to supplement the firm's short-term disability benefit and an employee's earned paid time off. The policy also introduces paid leave of up to one week for fathers or other natural parents, adoptive parents, or foster parents. In addition, birth mothers who are full-time employees will now have the option of returning to work on a part-time transitional basis for up to three months while retaining full benefits. 

"Despite the known benefits to families and the workforce, research shows that fewer than 20 percent of employers offered paid parental leave in 2016," said Baroni. Attain's new policy is retroactive to January 1, 2017 to allow all current employees who may have a need take advantage of the benefit.
