Awkwafina Buys West Hollywood Townhouse for $2.3 Million

Awkwafina is finally embracing her newfound superstardom. The rapper turned big-screen actor from Queens, New York, recently picked up a three-story townhouse in West Hollywood for $2.3 million.

The condo’s discreet front entrance is hidden behind a number of mature trees that partially obscure the stacked concrete exterior. Once inside, however, the home is light-filled and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows contrasting against dark wood flooring and white walls. The pad boasts three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms spread out over 2,350 square feet, and every element of the interior feels designed to maximize space and efficiency. The main floor is built for entertaining, with a living room anchored by a stainless steel–fronted modern fireplace and an entire wall of glass sliders that open out onto a private balcony. The formal dining space boasts more floor-to-ceiling glass windows—soaring 20 feet in height. A series of wispy-yet-globular light fixtures hang above the space. Just beyond that is a black-and-white kitchen with a set of double doors that open onto a Juliet balcony. A powder room rounds out the main-floor offerings.

Up a flight of stairs are two en suite bedrooms located on either end of a short hallway, each boasting a unique set of glass sliders that open to an atrium-like space above the dining area. Each bedroom has its own private, slender balcony and skylights. One bedroom features a double vanity and modern glass-enclosed shower with a separate deep-soaking tub, while the other boasts a single vanity with glass-lined shower. The third bedroom is located on the lowest level of the three-story dwelling and has its own separate entrance, private bathroom, and tiny kitchenette. Atop the residence is a private rooftop terrace, accessible via a flight of stairs from the second floor. Presently, it features ample space for outdoor dining and lounging, plus a two-person spa perched in one corner.

Awkwafina previously told Wealthsimple that she was nervous to shell out for a bigger space, given that she perviously lived in the same cheap railroad-style Brooklyn apartment for so long. Now, however, it looks like she’s ready to claim her right to a little slice of Hollywood.
