Azerbaijan, Armenia sovereign bonds extend falls as fighting rages on

·1 min read

LONDON, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Azerbaijan and Armenia sovereign dollar-denominated bonds fell again on Tuesday as fighting persisted between the two countries over the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Azerbaijan's September 2032 and September 2029 issues both lost around 3 cents in the dollar, with the former sliding to 96.7 cents, data from Refinitiv showed.

Armenia's March 2025 issue lost 1.6 cents to hit 109.2 cents, according to Refinitiv data.

Armenian and Azeri forces accused each other on Tuesday of firing at border positions miles from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone as the worse spate of fighting since the 1990s raged for a third day. (Reporting by Tom Arnold, editing by Karin Strohecker)
