'Bachelor' Nation celebrates epic takedown of this season's villain

We finally saw the first two-on-one date of the season on The Bachelor, and it did not disappoint. They were in Paris, and Arie Luyendyk Jr. took Krystal and Kendall to a beautiful château in the French countryside.

Kendall was not thrilled about going on a two-on-one date with Krystal, and after Krystal threw her under the bus while talking to Arie, it’s easy to understand why. But instead of getting angry and upset, as is the tradition on these shows, Kendall went with the opposite approach: empathy.

Saying the thing that’s most hurtful doesn’t necessarily mean you win. It means that you hurt somebody,” Kendall told Krystal. “And, um, I can definitely empathize with you.” Krystal seemed a bit stunned as Kendall moved in closer to continue the psychological takedown. Kendall said, “You’ve been through a lot of pain — like, more pain than I can even understand. And, um, it feels very controlled. I don’t think you should try to control it.”

It was crystal clear that Krystal had become the person who wasn’t thrilled to be on this date. But she was still confident that she’d get the rose — that is, until she didn’t get the rose. When the other ladies found out that Krystal wouldn’t be returning, they popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate — along with the rest of Bachelor Nation.

Tweets rolled in from Bachelor fans rejoicing about Krystal’s departure. But I have a feeling they’ll be seeing Krystal again very soon on Bachelor in Paradise.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Bachelor free on Yahoo View.
