PANAMA CITY (AP) _ Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior SA (BLX) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $21.2 million.
The bank, based in Panama City, said it had earnings of 54 cents per share.
The bank created in South and Central America to provide trade financing posted revenue of $77.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $32.1 million, missing Street forecasts.
Banco Latinoamericano shares have risen 24 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 26 percent in the last 12 months.
