MADRID (AP) _ Banco Santander SA (SAN) on Wednesday reported net income of $330.4 million in its fourth quarter.

The Madrid-based bank said it had earnings of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 8 cents per share.

The financial holding company posted revenue of $13.03 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $13.03 billion, which topped Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $10.02 billion, or 61 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $50.58 billion.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $3.23. A year ago, they were trading at $3.79.
