HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) _ Bank of NT Butterfield & Son Ltd. (NTB) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $38.6 million.
The bank, based in Hamilton, Bermuda, said it had earnings of 72 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 95 cents per share.
The community bank posted revenue of $141.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $129.4 million, which did not meet Street forecasts.
Bank of NT Butterfield & Son shares have climbed slightly more than 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $33.32, a drop of 31% in the last 12 months.
