RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) _ Barings BDC, Inc. (BBDC) on Thursday reported a loss of $101.4 million in its third quarter.

The Raleigh, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of $1.94 per share. Losses, adjusted for investment costs, came to 59 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $10.4 million in the period.

Barings BDC shares have risen 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $10.08, an increase of nearly 4 percent in the last 12 months.
