Barnes & Noble Education Appoints Gary L. June as Vice President, Head of Institutional Services, Digital Student Solutions to Accelerate Growth of Digital Services Through Institutional and Campus Partnerships

Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. (BNED), a leading provider of educational products and services solutions for higher education and K-12, today announced that Gary L. June has been appointed to the newly-created role of Vice President, Head of Institutional Services, Digital Student Solutions (DSS) effective immediately. Mr. June will report directly to Kanuj Malhotra, President of DSS.

In his new role at BNED, Mr. June will drive the growth of the student services in the bartleby® ecosystem through institutional sales and strategic business development with current and prospective clients as well as other strategic partners. Mr. June will work on the DSS team to scale the Company’s digital study product, bartleby, through institutional sales and further promote the integration of bartleby into institutional bundles that include current BNED offerings such as FirstDay™ and FirstDay Complete.

Prior to joining BNED, Mr. June served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Jones and Bartlett Learning, a provider of instructional, assessment and learning-performance management solutions for the secondary, post-secondary and professional markets. Mr. June has also served as Chief Marketing Officer of Pearson Education and Chief Marketing Officer of Pearson Higher Education.
