BASKING RIDGE, N.J. (AP) _ Barnes & Noble Education Inc. (BNED) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $35.9 million.
The Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 74 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 78 cents per share.
The operator of book stores on college campuses posted revenue of $772.2 million in the period.
The company's shares closed at $4.80. A year ago, they were trading at $6.45.
