EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Berry Global Group Inc. (BERY) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $74 million.
On a per-share basis, the Evansville, Indiana-based company said it had profit of 55 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 84 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 98 cents per share.
The packaging company posted revenue of $1.95 billion in the period.
Berry Global shares have increased 24% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased nearly 7% in the last 12 months.
