Best Labor Day Car Deals

Labor Day weekend signals the end of summer, but it's also a good weekend to go shopping and score some great car deals. Automakers are offering cash incentives, low interest rates and lease deals over the holiday weekend. Plus, with new 2013 models hitting showroom floors, dealers are trying to clear out their 2012 inventory. If you're headed to your local dealership over the Labor Day weekend, you're likely to find a great deal on a new vehicle.

Buick, Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac are offering some attractive lease incentives this Labor Day weekend, and many 2012 GM vehicles can be leased with little money down or low monthly payments. The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro is $269 a month for 39 months with $1,299 due at signing. Buick's new compact 2012 Verano sedan can be leased for $199 a month for 24 months with $2,219 down. Many of Buick's lease offers also include two years of free scheduled maintenance, satellite radio and OnStar directions and connections. If you need a compact SUV, the 2012 GMC Terrain is available for $249 a month for 39 months and $1,769 down. For shoppers who want a luxury car, Cadillac is offering a lease deal on its 2012 CTS sedan for $299 a month for 36 months with $1,999 due at signing.

Volkswagen is currently offering zero percent financing for five years on any non-diesel 2012 model. Some new 2013 Volkswagen models, like the Jetta, Passat and Eos, can be purchased with 1.9 percent financing for four years.

Ford and Lincoln are offering thousands of dollars cash back this Labor Day weekend. The 2012 Lincoln MKS has up to $5,000 cash back, the 2012 MKZ is available with up to $4,500 cash back and the 2012 Lincoln Navigator has up to $4,000 cash back. Plus, Lincoln is throwing in a free maintenance plan for four years or 50,000 miles. Small car shoppers will find up to $2,000 cash back on the 2012 Ford Focus, depending where you live, while midsize car shoppers can take advantage of up to $3,750 cash back on the 2012 Fusion. In many areas, the 2012 Ford F-150 has up to $3,000 cash back this holiday weekend.

In addition to zero percent financing for five years on many 2012 models, Mazda buyers won't have to make any payments for 90 days. Mazda's offer is good this Labor Day weekend on the 2012 Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-7 and CX-9.

If you prefer to lease a new vehicle without putting any money down, Honda is offering $0 due at signing lease deals on the 2012 Pilot, Odyssey, CR-V, Crosstour, Civic Sedan, Civic Hybrid and Accord Sedan this holiday weekend. Acura, Honda's luxury brand, is promoting similar $0 down lease incentives on all models but the RL, or shoppers can lower the monthly lease payments by putting at least a couple thousand dollars down.

Toyota shoppers will find zero percent financing purchase deals on several 2012 models in many areas through the holiday weekend on vehicles like the 2012 RAV4, Sienna, Prius, Corolla, Tundra, Highlander and Venza. Many current Lexus lease deals on vehicles like the 2012 IS, ES and RX include a complimentary first month's payment.

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram are giving buyers several thousand dollars in cash incentives on select 2012 models this Labor Day weekend. Shoppers can get up to $2,500 on the 2012 Ram 1500, up to $3,500 on the 2012 Jeep Liberty, up to $3,000 on the 2012 Dodge Avenger and up to $3,500 on the 2012 Chrysler 200.

Hyundai's current lease deals let shoppers get into select new Hyundai models with $0 due at signing. You can take advantage of this lease incentive on the 2013 and 2012 Equus, 2012 Genesis, 2013 Sonata and 2012 Sonata Hybrid.
