Best Memorial Day Car Deals
Memorial Day weekend is one of the biggest holiday weekends for travelers, but it's also when car dealers promote sales and discounts. If you're in the market for a new car, here are some Memorial Day promotions you can get through Thursday, May 31.
This week, Chrysler Group LLC launched a "no payments for 90 days" program. The program is good on the purchase of new 2012 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck and FIAT models that are financed through Ally Financial or Chase Auto Finance. Payments are deferred for 90 days on loans up to five years long. Chrysler Group also added $500 in military appreciation bonus consumer cash on top of the $500 military bonus cash it already offers. Chrysler Group says some restrictions apply, so check with your local dealer for more details.
Chevrolet is offering up to $750 in Memorial Day cash on the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, Malibu, Silverado 1500 Custom Sport Truck, Traverse and Silverado HD. The cash offer is in addition to the current purchase sales on these models. For example, the 2012 Traverse is currently available with zero-percent financing for five years or $2,000 in customer cash, and with the Memorial Day cash, the cash offer totals $2,750.
GMC is also offering $750 in Memorial Day cash on top of most of its current purchase deals. The 2012 GMC Acadia has zero-percent financing for five years or $2,000 in customer cash plus $750 in Memorial Day cash.
Buick is offering between $500 and $2,250 in Memorial Day cash in addition to many of its financing deals. For example, you can get $2,250 total cash allowance on the 2012 Buick Enclave, or no-interest financing for five years plus $750 in bonus cash.
Nissan is promoting its National Tent Event, which includes no-interest financing on some models. You also get $500 in holiday bonus cash on the 2012 Nissan Altima sedan and coupe, Juke, Frontier, Versa hatchback, Rogue and 2011 and 2012 Maxima.
Acura's Memorial Day special APR is available on the 2012 RL, TL, TSX, ZDX, MDX and RDX. You can purchase these vehicles with 0.9 percent financing for five years.
If you're in the market for a Honda, the automaker's Memorial Day event features 0.9 percent financing for 24 to 60 months on the 2012 Accord sedan and coupe, Civic sedan and coupe (excluding Civic Si, Hybrid and HF), Odyssey, Pilot and Crosstour.
