Beth Behrs and Sarah Hyland Selected for ASPCA Honors

Beth Behrs and Sarah Hyland may star on sitcoms on competing networks - Behrs is one of the 2 Broke Girls on CBS, while Hyland is one of the members of ABC's Modern Family - but the two actresses will come together and share a stage at an upcoming Los Angeles benefit.

The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) announced Wednesday that Behrs will be presented with the ASPCA Compassion Award for her work with victimized animals, while Hyland will take home the ASPCA Voice for Animals Award to honor her efforts in increasing awareness and inspiring action on behalf of animals in crisis.

The benefit is scheduled for Oct. 20, held at a private Los Angeles residence and hosted by Kathy Taggares. DJ Samantha Ronson is on board to handle the night's music. Joining her to aid the party committee are Casamigos Tequila and Tito's Handmade Vodka. Proceeds from the event will support the launch of the organization's new Los Angeles Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic.

"Beth Behrs and Sarah Hyland represent how much can be accomplished when we dedicate our time, energy and voices to helping animals in crisis," ASPCA president and CEO Matt Bershadker said in a statement. "So we're proud to honor them at this special event that will bring critical spay/neuter services to communities that need them most, including those in the Los Angeles area."

Behrs is prepping to release her new health and wellness book The Total Me-Tox next year. She has supported the ASPCA and its initiatives for years, even showing up in the org's 150th anniversary PSA. Behrs has a horse named Belle, which she rescued in 2015.

Also a longtime friend of the ASPCA, Hyland has two dogs of her own, Barkley Bixby and Boo.
