March 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden will let the pandemic-related ban on visas for certain temporary workers expire on Wednesday, Bloomberg News https://bloom.bg/3fFIMGT reported on Tuesday citing people familiar with the matter.
Former President Donald Trump had issued a presidential proclamation last year blocking H-1B workers and some other visa holders from entering the U.S., citing the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
Biden is opting not to renew it, the report said. The visa ban was set to expire on March 31.
Last month, Biden revoked a proclamation from his predecessor that blocked many green card applicants from entering the United States.
