The Hercules, California-based company said it had net income of $8.89 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 91 cents per share.
The maker of instruments used in biomedical research posted revenue of $545.1 million in the period.
Bio-Rad shares have increased 12 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen nearly 5 percent in the last 12 months.
