Bio-Reference meets on Sandy

The clinical-testing company said Q4 EPS rose 24% to 46 cents. Revenue climbed 16% to $176 mil. But Bio-Reference Laboratories (BRLI) said it could have beaten views if not for Superstorm Sandy, which affected its headquarters in New Jersey and reduced revenue by $5 mil and EPS by 6 cents. The company still doesn't know the long-term impact of the storm on earnings, but reiterated its guidance that revenue in fiscal '13 will rise at least 15% and profit 20%. Shares rose 4.8% to 28.63.
