MALVERN, Pa. (AP) _ BioTelemetry Inc. (BEAT) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $8.3 million.
The Malvern, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 23 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 53 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 45 cents per share.
The heart monitoring device maker posted revenue of $111.8 million in the period.
BioTelemetry shares have decreased 25% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $44.77, a drop of 13% in the last 12 months.
