SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Black Diamond Inc. (BDE) on Monday reported a loss of $1.4 million in its fourth quarter.
The Salt Lake City-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, were 1 cent per share.
The outdoor sports gear maker posted revenue of $41.4 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $42.8 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $9 million, or 30 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $148.2 million.
Black Diamond expects full-year revenue in the range of $153 million to $158 million.
Black Diamond shares have increased 6.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $5.70, a climb of 23 percent in the last 12 months.
