Black Friday travel deals: The best holiday and flight discounts for 2017
Love it or hate it, Black Friday – and its counterpart Cyber Monday – are here to stay. Embrace it and you could just bag yourself a hugely discounted holiday or a great deal on flights.
This year Black Friday falls on 24 November with Cyber Monday on 27 November. And while you have to be savvy to ensure you really are getting a good deal, in amongst the more dubious offers are genuine travel bargains. In the lead up to the big day, we’ll be posting the best deals we can find, with more added all the time.
Here are the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel deals for 2017.
easyHotel has £9.99 hotel rooms
From 0.01am on Friday 24 November, easyHotel will be offering 3,000 rooms from across its network of hotels for £9.99 night, available for guests looking to book between 1 December 2017 and 28 February 2018. The Black Friday booking window is open from 24 November 2017 to 4 December 2017.
Ryanair launches Black Friday week of deals
Ryanair launched a week-long Black Friday promotion from 20 November, with seven days of deals. Travellers who book can enjoy 10 per cent off one million seats from travel between April and June 2018 when booking before midnight tonight, plus 20 per cent all check-in bags. Check the website for the latest deals.
Get £5 off a railcard
From Friday 24 until 28 November, save £5 when you purchase a 16-25 or Family & Friends Railcard. This brings the price down to £25 instead of £30. Book through the website, using the code BFDAY711.
Save £200 on Thomas Cook summer holidays
Customers can save £200 per booking on a range of Thomas Cook and Airtours package holidays with a flight on Thomas Cook Airlines. The offer is valid for bookings made between 17 and 28 November 2017 where there is a minimum spend of £1,000. It includes Thomas Cook’s range of own-brand hotels – Sunwing, Sunprime, SENTIDO, smartline, SunConnect and Casa Cook – with destinations including Greece, Spain and Turkey. To qualify for the saving, customers must enter promotional code BF200 on the payment page on the Thomas Cook website and the holiday must be booked via the “Holidays” tab.
20 per cent off a Christmas market cruise
Superbreak is offering plenty of discounts on Black Friday, including 20 per cent off its German Christmas Market River Rhine Cruise. From £399 per person departing 17 December, including five nights’ accommodation, full-board.
Half-price UK walking holidays
HF Holidays is offering 50 per cent off selected walking holidays. A seven-night guided walking trip in Dovedale in the Peak District, usually £699pp, is now £349.50pp, including full-board accommodation.
£500 off per couple on all-inclusive UAE getaway
Netflights.com is offering a saving of up to £500 per couple a on a three-night trip to Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, staying at the five-star Doubletree by Hilton Marjan Island Resort and Spa on an all-inclusive basis. From £589 per person, including return flights from London Heathrow and transfers. Based on selected travel dates in May and June 2018; book by 30 November 2017.
£50 off Crystal Ski holidays
Crystal Ski Holidays has a week of deals running from 21 to 27 November, including £50pp off on many packages. For example, seven nights in Tignes, France, staying in a three-star self-catering apartment costs from £216pp based on four sharing, including flights from Luton to Chambery and transfers. Valid for 23 December 2017 departure.
Flights to Rio for £769
On 24 November, LATAM Airlines is offering Black Friday deals to a number of Latin American destinations including Brazil, Chile and Argentina. The deals will be available until 27 November on LATAM Airlines’ daily direct flights from London Heathrow Airport. The promotional rates from London Heathrow include: London to Sao Paulo from £739, London to Rio de Janeiro from £769, London to Curitiba from £769, London to Buenos Aires from £799 and London to Santiago from £866. Offer valid on flights from January to May 2018 excluding Carnival (9 to 14 February) and Easter (March 23 to April 1).

Save £225 on Santorini
Olympic Holidays is offering seven nights at the five-star 9 Muses in Santorini from £439 per person based on two travelling (discount of £225 per person). £150 off Canadian holidays
Canadian Affair has announced a special Black Friday promotion which will see holidaymakers save £150 per person on holidays costing over £999. Available on holidays booked over the Black Friday weekend concluding at 9pm on Sunday 26 November 2017; accessed by quoting the code “BLACK FRIDAY” when making a reservation.
40 per cent off hotel in the heart of Covent Garden
Strand Palace Hotel is offering guests 40 per cent off accommodation. The Black Friday offer is redeemable from 24 to 27 November, for stays from 17 December 2017 to 8 April 2018.
Save 50 per cent with laterooms.com
LateRooms.com is kicking off with reductions of up to 40 per cent on selected hotels booked between 7pm and 11.59pm on Thursday 23 November. On 24 November, a wider selection of hotels will become available with reductions of up to 50 per cent on bookings made between 12.01am and 11.59pm. For example, save 50 per cent per room on one night’s accommodation at the Ramada Cambridge; valid for arrivals on 17 December 2017.
Save 30 per cent on a week in Mexico
Caribtours is offering 30 per cent off an all-inclusive seven-night package to Paradisus Playa del Carmen for travel between 30 January and 31 October 2018, booked by 1 December 2017. From £1,695 per person based on two adults sharing a Paradisus Junior Suite on an all-Inclusive basis, including return flights and private transfers.
Best Western stays for £45
Best Western is offering 50 per cent off on certain hotels booked on Black Friday. For example, Best Western Valley Hotel in Ironbridge is half price, with prices starting from £45, B&B, based on two sharing, staying on 22 December 2017.

Half price stays in Jamaica
The Half Moon resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is offering 50 per cent off all bookings made on Cyber Monday. The booking window opens on Monday 27 November at 12am (4am GMT) and closes at 11.59pm (3.59am on Tuesday 28 GMT). The discount applies for holidays booked using the promotional code PROC17 departing between 3 January and 20 December 2018, with some dates unavailable. Half Moon is a beachside resort featuring 400 acres of manicured grounds, an extensive spa, 18-hole par-72 championship golf course, equestrian centre with 28 horses and the Sugar Mill, a fine dining restaurant serving Jamaican cuisine with a twist. Save 50 per cent on a cottage in Devon
Cofton Holidays, which spreads over 80 acres of countryside in South Devon, is offering 50 per cent off all holidays between 24 November and 22 December 2017 for those quoting the discount code BF50 (the code will only be live from 24 to 27 November). For example, Linney Cottage, which sleeps four and comes with its own hot tub and views of Dawlish Warren nature reserve and beach, can be booked for a week from £365 (was £730) – £91.25 per person. On-site facilities include a heated indoor pool with hydrotherapy loungers, gym, restaurant, pub, steam room, sauna, fitness studio, soft play area, playground, sports wall and outdoor pools. Pre-Christmas skiing for under £90
Interhome is opening its new Swisspeak resort in the tiny Swiss ski resort of Vercorin this season, and to celebrate, on Black Friday early adopters can save 35 per cent when they book online to stay for the opening week (16 to 23 December). This discount can add up to a seven-night stay for under £90 per person. For example, a family or group of four adults staying in a two-bedroom apartment will pay £341 with the discount (£85.25 per person). Swisspeak is 50m from the nearest ski lift and has a bar and wellness centre. The village of Vercorin has 35km local slopes but is also part of the bigger Val d’Anniviers ski area, which includes the resorts of Grimentz/Zinal and St Luc/Chandolin, with 175km of slopes in total (access between them is via bus).
Pay £10 for a London hostel
Clink Hostels is offering 20 per cent off London bookings and 10 per cent off Amsterdam bookings for stays of two or more nights any time during 2018. Bookings must be made on 24 November using the code FRIDAY17 to receive this discount. This means you could bag a bed in a shared dorm for £10.40 a night in London and €12.30 in Amsterdam.
Half-price luxury holiday to the Maldives
From Black Friday through to Cyber Monday, The Turquoise Holiday Company is offering 50 per cent off on holidays to the Six Senses Laamu resort in The Maldives. The offer includes a seven-night stay in a Lagoon Water Villa, daily breakfast and dinner, speedboat transfers, domestic and international flights, from £2,350 per person. The offer is valid for travel from 6 April to 30 September 2018 on holidays booked between 9am on Friday 24 November and 5pm on Monday 27 November.

Couples Resorts, a family-owned boutique resort collection in Jamaica, is offering a seventh night free when guests book a six-night stay, plus $250 resort credit. This promotion can be used at any of the four properties, with prices from $185 per person per night, all-inclusive, including watersports, scuba diving, activities, excursions and drinks. London to Auckland return from £399
On Black Friday, Air New Zealand releases its lowest ever fares for Los Angeles and Auckland, with return flights from London to Los Angeles priced at £175 per person and London to Auckland flights at £399. The deal starts at 9am on 24th November and tickets are expected to sell out in minutes.

70 per cent off Topdeck tours
Topdeck Travel's Black Friday sale will run from 3pm on 23rd November to 9am on 28th November, with discounts of up to 70 per cent, including its Sydney Discovery (£123), Road to Marrakech (£382.50) and Tropical Discovery: Queensland (£123) tours.
Up to 50 per cent off with Loveholidays
Online travel agent Loveholidays is offering customers up to 50 per cent off holidays booked via their website on Black Friday, and another £50 off using a discount code for holidays over £1000. This includes deals at the HTOP hotel group across Spain and up to 40 per cent off selected Greek Island hotels. The offer lasts throughout Black Friday.
Baltic Travel Company offer 5 per cent on bookings from £3,000
Baltic Travel Company, which specialises in trips to Scandinavia, the Baltics and Eastern Europe is offering a five per cent discount on trips from at least £3,000, which can be booked from 20th until the 27th of November. Bookings will only be taken by phone and you must quote “Black Friday” at the point of booking.
20 per cent off with W Bellevue
Hotel chain W is offering a discount of 20 per cent on stays at W Bellevue between December 7, 2017 and January 15, 2018. The offer lasts from November 23 to November 27.
Savings of up to 25 per cent on winter holidays with Hilton
Hotel chain Hilton is offering guests up to 25 per cent off bookings at destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Running through to 31st January 2018, Hilton's Winter Sale features over 400 hotels, with offers including Istanbul from £69 per night for a double room and Venice from £132.
40 per cent off travel to Iceland with WOW air
Icelandic airline WOW air is offering a 40 per cent flash sale on Cyber Monday to Iceland. Using the WOWCYBERMONDAY promo code, travellers can book return trips from London Gatwick and Edinburgh taking place between 10 January and 15 May 2018. This is valid for bookings made on Monday 27 November 2017 (midnight-midnight).
