BLACKLINE: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (AP) _ BLACKLINE INC (BL) on Thursday reported a loss of $8.6 million in its third quarter.

The Woodland Hills, California-based company said it had a loss of 15 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 25 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 11 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $90.5 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $85.1 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, BLACKLINE expects its per-share earnings to range from 6 cents to 8 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $91 million to $92 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

BLACKLINE expects full-year earnings in the range of 61 cents to 63 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $347.4 million to $348.4 million.

BLACKLINE shares have increased 79% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $92.30, an increase of 97% in the last 12 months.
