BMO Private Bank Adds Local Advisory Board Members in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Mar 11, 2013) - BMO Private Bank, a part of BMO Financial Group, announced today that Bill Sperling, Patricia Bostrom and Bill McAleer have joined the local advisory board in Seattle. Sperling recently retired after 18 years with The Seattle Foundation, where he was the Vice President of Foundation Affairs. Bostrom has owned the Bostrom Law Offices in Seattle since 1988. McAleer has been with Voyager Capital since he co-founded the company in 1997.

Prior to his time at The Seattle Foundation, Sperling spent 25 years with US Bank, from which he retired as a Vice President and Manager in the Private Banking Group. He is a current member and former trustee of the Washington Planned Giving Council and a member of the Seattle Estate Planning Council. Sperling has also served the board of Seattle 4 Rotary, Seattle Rotary Service Foundation, Puget Sound Young Life, United Way of King County's Campaign Cabinet, and the United Way of Spokane, and was a Commissioner for the Spokane Housing Authority.

Bostrom served as Pro-Tem Judge for seven years at the King County Superior Court Ex Parte Division, after working in law, marketing, and broadcasting, then as General Counsel for US Technology/Estusa Racquets. Prior to these positions, Bostrom enjoyed a long career as a tennis player, ranking number five in World Doubles in 1978, and acquiring multiple awards both in the U.S. and worldwide. She is also co-chair of The University of Washington Pre-Title IX Awards Banquet, and has been a member of arts organization Poncho, Seattle Four Downtown Rotary, University of Washington Alumni Association and Tyee Board of Advisors, and the Seattle Opera Board.

McAleer has been on the boards of 20 companies, including 16 portfolio companies, focusing on software and services, digital media, and wireless. In 1997, McAleer co-founded Voyager Capital, of which he is currently Managing Director. In addition to BMO Private Bank, McAleer is a Cornell University Trustee, serves on the Advisory Boards for Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Business and the Cornell Center for Entrepreneurship, and was a member of the Cornell council. In addition, Bill is the chair of the Advisory Board for the University of Washington Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
