Boeing expects 30% fewer executive positions in BDS unit from 2010

Boeing said it is rotating assignments for several executives in its Defense, Space & Security unit. "The affordability efforts continue, because additional cost reductions are needed, and are supported by reductions in executive ranks and overhead costs," the company said. By the end of 2012, Boeing's Defense, Space & Security unit expects to have 30% fewer executive positions than in 2010. Some of the changes include Nan Bouchard becoming vice president/general manager of the C-17 program and Southern California consolidation, Leanne Caret becoming VP/GM of a consolidated Vertical Lift division within the BDS Boeing Military Aircraft business unit, and Jean Chamberlin becoming VP/GM of the BDS Program Management function.
