LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Boingo Wireless Inc. (WIFI) on Tuesday reported a loss of $4.4 million in its fourth quarter.
The Los Angeles-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents per share.
The provider of Wi-Fi hotspots in airports and other public places posted revenue of $45 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $45.9 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $27.3 million, or 72 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $159.3 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Boingo said it expects revenue in the range of $39.5 million to $43.5 million.
The company expects a full-year loss of 74 cents to 64 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $180 million to $188 million.
Boingo shares have fallen slightly more than 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $11.18, a climb of 51 percent in the last 12 months.
