Bombardier Aerospace Returns to the Dubai Airshow

The unique CSeries pavilion returns to Dubai following the game-changing aircraft's historic first flight

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2013) - Bombardier Aerospace will bring a broad lineup of its industry-leading products to the biennial Dubai Airshow in the United Arab Emirates, which will be held at a new venue, the Dubai World Central Airport, from November 17 to 21, 2013.

Demonstrating Bombardier's growing importance in the Middle East's aviation sector, the company will showcase a diversified portfolio of its business and commercial aircraft, its technical expertise and its superior customer support and aircraft maintenance services. Bombardier's static display will feature three aircraft including the wide body Challenger 605 jet, the large Global 6000, and the Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner.

In addition, closely following in the footsteps of the CSeries aircraft's historic first flight on September 16, 2013, invited guests to Bombardier's unique CSeries pavilion will be able to view the full-scale passenger cabin and cockpit demonstrators of this game-changing aircraft. Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has ordered 10 CSeries aircraft and has taken options on an additional six. The all-new CSeries family of aircraft is specifically designed for the 100- to 149-seat market segment.

To discover more about Bombardier's vision to improve and to evolve the world's mobility solutions, visitors are welcome in the Bombardier Chalet at A1-2-3. The state-of-the-art CSeries aircraft pavilion is situated directly behind the chalet.

Business Aircraft

Over the next 20 years, Bombardier forecasts 1,200 business jet deliveries in the Middle East, driven by the region's oil exports, long distances between its major cities, and difficult surface transportation. With the industry's most comprehensive product portfolio and a commitment to leadership in customer satisfaction, Bombardier continues to grow its leadership position in the business aviation industry. From light jets to large, ultra long range aircraft, Bombardier offers a solution to all customers, whatever their requirements may be. There are approximately 100 of Bombardier's Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets in operation in the Middle East.

Commercial Aircraft

The fleet of Bombardier commercial aircraft in the Middle East and Africa is steadily growing with more than 200 Q-Series turboprops, CRJ regional jets and CSeries airliners now in service with, or on firm order from, approximately 50 customers and operators in the region.

Bombardier's Commercial Aircraft Market Forecast for the period 2013-2032, covering aircraft from 20 to 149 seats, predicts deliveries of 480 units to the Middle East and 700 to Africa over the forecast period. Operating from the company's regional office located in the Dubai Free Zone near Dubai International Airport, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft's sales and marketing team is well positioned to provide industry-leading solutions to its current and prospective customers.

Putting our customers first locally, globally

Bombardier is committed to putting its customers first by offering the highest level of support around the world. As part of this commitment to customers, Bombardier expanded its worldwide support network by regionalizing its Customer Services and Support teams for both business and commercial aircraft in three regions: the Americas; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Asia-Pacific. These changes enhance our ability to make quick decisions and drive stronger performance to provide the best in-service customer experience.

Most recently, Bombardier added a new Regional Support Office (RSO) and announced a parts depot in Johannesburg, South Africa. Both the Johannesburg RSO and parts depot facility will anchor regional support capabilities for local Bombardier business and commercial aircraft customers, as well as customers flying into the region. The RSO serves as a locally based link to Bombardier's network of highly skilled in-service engineering teams and 24/7 Customer Response Centres (CRC). The RSO also collaborates with Bombardier's maintenance network of wholly owned service centres and ASFs, as well as our network of parts facilities and other support offices, including the Dubai RSO location, opened in 2010.
